It’s a 4 runner the rear window is either stuck in the up position or in the down position.

We lost our 2005 Taco to a bad headgasket on the 4.0L, and it was much more common to the 4th gen 4Runners..
Symptoms were gurgling water sound behind the dash, overflowing coolant at regular temps while running (and empty expansion tank once it cooled down), black spray/spots on the rear fender around the exhaust...
By the time we got ours in it was a $5K diagnostic including pulling the heads, and 50/50 change the block would be cracked.. and another $5K best case to get it back together.

There’s no interval for the timing chain and I’ve never even heard of someone needing to replace one... there are any number of other things more likely to kill the engine before the timing chain ever wears out on one of these.

Surprisingly, yes. I was expecting to not like it as much as I did, as I’m more of a car person than truck/suv person . It drives really nicely and I can see why people like them so much

B ut if you ask and they tell you it was done you know bs, if they tell you it’s got a belt you know bs, if they say it’s never been done because it doesn’t need it they might be an Oppo..
